2026 NT Youth Week Ambassador biography: Kyrah Tye Tupaea

Kyrah Tye Tupaea is a proud Māori and Indigenous woman, a radio producer and presenter at ABC Radio Darwin, and a photographer. She has contributed to several youth advisory groups, including the City of Darwin’s Youth Advisory Committee, Pathfinders NT’s Youth Steering Group and the 2025 NT Youth Round Table.

Kyrah hopes to shine a light on young Territorians as an NT Youth Week ambassador. She aims to use her creativity to amplify youth perspectives, build her public speaking and networking skills and champion opportunities for young people to engage in health initiatives, safe spaces and government programs.

Kyrah runs her own social media and content creation business, Get Social With Kyrah, where she channels her passion for media, photography and film to inspire other young people to pursue their passions.
