Northern Territory Youth Week
Northern Territory Youth Week is the single largest celebration of young Territorians aged 12 to 25 years, providing a platform for young Territorians to connect, express their ideas, address issues that matter to them, and engage with the wider community through a diverse variety of programs and events. NT Youth Week seeks to promote a positive view of young people and recognise their skills, attributes and positive impact in their community.
In 2024, NT Youth Week took place from 6 to 17 April. NT Youth Week 2025 will run from 4 to 16 April 2025.
NT Youth Week Ambassador program
The Ambassadors for NT Youth Week play a huge part in the success of the initiative. Ambassadors are recruited yearly and receive the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, get involved in community life, and have their say on important topics impacting young Territorians.
Applications for the 2025 Ambassador program are closed.

Northern Territory Young Achiever Awards
The Northern Territory Young Achiever Awards is an annual event coordinated by Awards Australia that acknowledges, encourages, and promotes the positive achievements of young Territorians aged up to 29 years.
The Northern Territory Government has proudly sponsored the Young Achiever Awards since 2000, as part of its commitment to promoting and celebrating the achievements of young Territorians. It is also a key event to celebrate young Territorians as part of NT Youth Week.
Promoting the achievements of young people through supporting awards such as this allows the community to acknowledge the contributions that young people make across the Territory. This aligns with action 2.1 under domain 1 of the Northern Territory Youth Strategy Action Plan 2024-2027, which commits to supporting Awards Australia to deliver the Young Achiever Awards, recognising young Territorians who have contributed positively to their communities across different award categories.
Nominations for the 2025 Awards are now open!
