2025 NT Youth Round Table biography - Kyrah Tye Tupaea

Ms Kyrah Tye Tupaea is a Trainee Employment Mentor at Saltbush Social Enterprises with experience in various youth-focused initiatives, including her involvement in the Darwin Youth Advisory Committee and Pathfinders Youth Steering Group.

Kyrah is passionate about empowering young people, particularly women and those from Indigenous backgrounds. She advocates for affordable housing, women’s health, mental health support, and better employment opportunities. Her focus for the Northern Territory Youth Round Table is to ensure young people’s voices are amplified in decision-making processes and to advocate for policies that address the unique challenges faced by young Territorians.

Kyrah owns her own small photography business Captured By Kyrah Photography which makes her a well-known name in her community, this has been nominated for a 2025 Small Business Achievement Award through the Young Achiever Awards. Kyrah is passionate about media, photography and film and hopes to use this to inspire young people like herself.
