2025 NT Youth Round Table biography - Gilbert Tanoto

Mr Gilbertofer Tanoto is a Bachelor of IT student at Charles Darwin University (CDU), passionate about data analytics, digital literacy, creativity, and photography.

As a Student Support Officer and First Nations tutor, Gilbert has contributed to CDU and local initiatives like the Radicle Roadshow and NT Digital Excellence Awards.

He advocates for educational workshops and digital skills programs in remote communities. Gilbert’s leadership roles in CDU clubs, tutoring First Nations students, and volunteer photography work support his goal of promoting youth education, employment pathways, and digital literacy, while using creativity and social media to amplify youth voices to policymakers.
