Master planning across sport and recreation
Master plans are developed to guide the long‑term planning, upgrade and management of key sport and recreation assets. They provide a clear, strategic framework to support staged development, inform future investment and coordinate improvements across facilities and infrastructure.
Tracy Village Sporting Precinct master plan
The Tracy Village Sporting Precinct master plan guides the staged redevelopment of the precinct in Lyons. The master plan sets out priority upgrades to support community and club sport, including improved playing fields, lighting, change facilities and shared amenities, and establishes a permanent home for the Hellenic Athletic Club.
Master planning for the precinct is led by the Tracy Village Social and Sports Club, backed by a $3 million investment from the Northern Territory Government.

Marrara Sports Precinct master plan
The Marrara Sports Precinct master plan establishes a 15‑year framework for the coordinated development of Darwin’s primary sporting and events precinct. The master plan guides future investment across facilities and infrastructure, supporting elite sport, major events, community participation and everyday recreation within an integrated precinct.
Community and stakeholder consultation was undertaken to inform the development of the master plan.
Woodroffe Oval master plan
The Woodroffe Oval master plan provides a clear direction for the redevelopment of a key community sporting facility in Palmerston. The master plan supports long‑term shared use for AFL, cricket and community sport through upgrades to the playing surface, lighting, change rooms and clubhouse facilities.
Community and stakeholder consultation was undertaken to inform the development of the master plan.
