Sport Governance
Sport Governance is the framework of rules, policies and structures used to direct, manage and hold sports organisations accountable at all levels. It ensures integrity, transparency and strategic direction, covering aspects like board performance, financial management, ethical behaviour and compliance with regulations to benefit members.
Sport and active recreation organisations in the Northern Territory (NT) that become incorporated in the NT are registered under the Associations Act 2003 by contacting the associations team at associations.compliance@nt.gov.au.
The Australian Sports Commission provides a range of sport governance services including information, resources, educational courses, principles and standards to help sporting organisations improve their capability and effectiveness.
