Meet the 2026 NT Youth Week ambassadors
A new group of young Territorians has been selected to help shape NT Youth Week 2026, bringing fresh ideas, lived experience and regional perspectives to the Territory’s largest annual celebration of young people.
The ambassador program is delivered by the department’s Office of Youth Affairs, which leads the recruitment, training and coordination of ambassadors each year. This year’s cohort includes eleven young people aged 15 to 25 from communities across the NT. In their roles, ambassadors contribute to planning, promote Youth Week activities in their regions, and ensure young voices are reflected in decision‑making.
NT Youth Week will run from 2 to 15 April 2026, offering opportunities for 12 to 25‑year‑olds to connect, learn, celebrate and participate in events that matter to them.
Who’s representing the Territory in 2026
The ambassadors come from East Arnhem, Big Rivers, Barkly, Central Australia, Palmerston and rural areas, and Darwin. The group reflects the diversity of young Territorians, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, culturally and linguistically diverse participants, and a mix of genders and backgrounds.
