Territory artists receive funding support through NT Arts Grants Program
Sixteen local artists and arts workers from across the Northern Territory have received a major boost through the 2024–25 NT Arts Grants Program, with $280,000 in funding awarded to support their creative and professional development.
This funding includes $150,000 in Creative Fellowships and Residencies grants and $130,000 through the NXT Gen ARTS grants, helping both emerging and established artists grow their careers while strengthening the Territory’s dynamic arts sector.
These programs are designed to nurture artistic talent, encourage long-term creative careers in the NT, and build capability within the broader arts and cultural industries.
The Creative Fellowships and Residencies grants support artists in theatre, dance, visual arts, crafts and design, and music to undertake research, residencies, and advanced practice development. Projects this year include international residencies, skills development in puppetry and animatronics, and the creation of new artistic works.
